About
Jilanna Allison is a Miami-based ceramic artist and multidisciplinary designer whose work explores the quiet relationship between ritual, domestic space, and the natural world. Working primarily in clay, she creates functional objects that invite moments of intention into everyday life.
She creates objects that hold space for daily rituals. Whether used for tea, light, reflection, or simple presence in the home, each piece is designed to be both useful and contemplative.
Jilanna’s work draws inspiration from the fading charm of ornamental design, coastal architecture, and the organic forms found in gardens and wild landscapes. Through subtle textures, sculptural forms, and handmade surfaces, her ceramics carry the imprint of the hand and the passage of time.
Each piece is produced in small batches and handmade in her Miami home studio. The process is slow and tactile, allowing the material to guide the final form.
In addition to her studio practice, Jilanna works as a set designer and prop stylist in the commercial and fashion industries. This background in visual storytelling informs her approach to objects—considering not only their form but how they live within a space and interact with daily life.
Through Jilay Studio, she creates pieces intended to become quiet anchors in the home: objects that hold light, intention, and the small rituals that shape our days.
