During the process of making this collection I’ve been thinking alot about the fading Art Deco scene as historic buildings get demolished to make way for boxy developments, lacking individuality, and warmth. These pieces draw inspiration from the subtle curves repeated patterns and textured surfaces that adorn the historic buildings.
These pieces are a tribute to the textures and ornamentation of these homes and a nod to the disappearing charm of a city under constant renovation and redevelopment. Each piece is a small act of preservation, honoring the character and charm in a functional form.
